Professional Vehicle Wraps in McKinney, TX

A vinyl wrap is a self-adhesive vinyl film applied directly over a vehicle's painted surfaces. It allows the user to change the color and finish of a vehicle without the permanence or expense of a custom paint job. Finishes include matte, gloss, satin, and textured options like carbon fiber

A high-quality vinyl wrap can last approximately 3–7 years, depending on the material, installation, maintenance, and exposure to the elements. Texas heat and UV exposure can shorten the lifespan, especially on horizontal surfaces like the hood and roof. Regular hand washing and proper care can help extend the life of your wrap.

When professionally installed and removed, vinyl wraps are generally safe for factory paint that's in good condition. However, existing paint damage, aftermarket paint, or improper removal can increase the risk of paint damage. Vinyl wraps are primarily designed to change your vehicle's appearance, not replace paint protection film (PPF).

A vinyl wrap is often more affordable than a high-quality, professional repaint, especially for a complete color change. Wraps also offer a wide variety of finishes and can typically be removed without damaging factory paint that's in good condition when properly installed and removed. Pricing depends on the vehicle's size, complexity, and the materials selected. Contact Prestige Tint for a personalized estimate.

To keep your vinyl wrap looking its best, we recommend regular hand washing with a mild, pH-neutral automotive soap and a soft microfiber wash mitt. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, abrasive cleaners, and harsh chemicals. Remove bird droppings, bug residue, and other contaminants promptly. Some vinyl wraps may also benefit from specially formulated protective products, depending on the finish and manufacturer's recommendations.

Installation time depends on the vehicle, the type of wrap, and the complexity of the project. Smaller projects, such as chrome deletes or accent wraps, may be completed more quickly, while full vehicle color changes typically require several days. We'll provide a more accurate timeframe when discussing your specific project and scheduling your installation.

For the best results, the vehicle's paint must be in good condition. A vinyl wrap is like a "second skin" and will not hide major imperfections like rust, dents, or peeling paint. Any bodywork or paint correction should be completed beforehand.

Custom design services for custom graphics, colors, and logos are unfortunately not a service we provide at this time. However, if you have a pre-printed wrap that you just need installed we are able to perform the install for you!
